Typing comes first
A real keyboard, not a chat box with keys.
Autocorrect, predictions, glide typing, accents and a personal lexicon. Nothing is drawn on a keycap except the character, so every power feature lives above the keys.
Glide typing
Draw across the letters. Riff reads the path by where it went and by its shape, and keeps alternates in the strip so one tap swaps the word.
Corrections you can undo
The typed word shows in quotes when it is not a word, so one tap keeps it. Delete straight after a correction gives your word back, and it is never corrected again.
Five languages, typed
English, Spanish, French, German and Portuguese layouts ship with their own dictionaries. Type a few words in another enabled language and it takes the lead.
It learns you
Your words, word pairs, three word phrases, and the emoji you tend to put after a word. All of it is stored on your iPhone.
The details you expect
Long press accents, hold space to move the cursor, hold delete to repeat, a number row, one handed mode, three keyboard heights, haptics and key clicks.
The action bar
Translate, rewrite and proofread without leaving the chat.
Labelled chips sit above the suggestions, so there are no glyphs to learn. Tap one and a panel opens right there in the keyboard.

Share a screenshot. Three replies are waiting.
Share one or more chat screenshots to Riff. It reads them with Apple's on-device text recognition, works out who said what from the bubble alignment, and writes three reply options.
- Each option has a labelled angle and a timing hint, like "Reply soon" or "No rush".
- They are waiting in the keyboard the next time you open that conversation.
- Regenerate in the replies lab inside the app whenever you want another take.

How it works
On in a minute. Useful all day.
Turn it on
Settings, General, Keyboard, Keyboards, Add New Keyboard, then Riff. You can start typing straight away.
Type as usual
Predictions, corrections and glide typing all run on your iPhone, with or without Full Access.
Reach up when you need more
Tap a chip to translate, change the tone, proofread or pull up reply drafts, then insert the result.
Intelligence and privacy
You always know where your words went.
Every generated result carries a badge that says whether it came from the cloud, the on-device model or the offline rules. Riff picks a provider per feature, in this order.

Apple's on-device model, when your iPhone supports it and you prefer on device.

Cloud features are off by default. Turn them on, grant Full Access and paste your own API key, and only the text you asked about is sent, straight to that provider.

Offline
Proofreading with the keyboard's own corrector, rule based tone and length, common phrase translation and template replies. Airplane mode changes the quality, not the flow.
